⚠️ Systemic Challenges
• Insurance Crisis Threatens Foster Placements: Nearly 9,000 children could be displaced due to foster family agencies (FFAs) losing insurance coverage. Many FFAs rely on a single nonprofit insurer, NIAC, which began non-renewing policies after costly lawsuits. Without bridge funding or alternative coverage, foster homes may be forced to close.
